MTC :)

Kumusta, hoy everybody!:)
Well, I decided that since I only have a short time in the lab for P-day today I would just email you all at once just to let you know how my first week has gone. Oh my goodness! It has been so amazing. I love everything about it here. The strongness of the spirit, the growth of my testimony, and just everybody. Everywhere my companions and I go elders and sisters are always saying "Hello sisters" and its just a wonderful feeling because its not like that in Susanville haha. My first day here was great. I got here pretty early since nobody answered my call...(Mom/Dad). But, thats ok because I had a lot of fun getting to meet new people and my companions. I am in a companionship of three, and I am the senior companion which is pretty cool and I was really shocked when I got it haha. One of the girls is from Provo her name is Sister Shaw and the other one is from Bigby Idaho her name isSsister McLain. They are so much fun...the only negative thing is that they are both shorter than 5'5...soooo im a giant compared to them. no joke lang (just kidding). We began learning Tagalog the first day we got here and our teacher wont speak English so we have to learn what she is saying or we wont know. Its really fun though because there are 10 people in my district. 5 Elders and 5 sisters and we just have a blast learning the language. Yesterday Elder Rogers decided we should play Jeopardy in class and he changed his name to Elder Trebek while we played, it was pretty funny haha. One of the elders in my district no joke reminds me of that one kid on Home Alone...Macaulay Culchin or however you spell it.
Yesterday we had to teach an investigator in TAGALOG! It was soooo difficult because we didnt really know how to answer questions yet or say things back when he answered our questions because we didnt really know what he said back. So it was pretty stressful. But in all honesty I can really feel the Lord blessing me with the gift of tongues already. I mean I have been here for what 4 days now and I can already pray, bear my testimony, and sing in Tagalog:) haha. I also know a lot of other words and little phrases which is pretty amazing for only 4 days...if I do say so myself. Um, lets see what else has happened. Well, when I got here wednesday and unpacked my suitcase some of the stuff i brought for my hair spilled in my suitcase so I have quite a bit of laundry to do today. But on the plus side they don't stink they smell like coconut haha. Oh, and i share a room with two other sisters, Sister Davis and Sister Murdock. They are so awesome! Sister Davis makes me laugh like alllll the time because she has such a great sense of humor like me, I love her! Oh my goodness, I got to see Jenny and Alex! I got a picture with Jenny...but its on her camera not mine:/ oops. And I haven't gotten one with Alex yet but he will be here for awhile because Korean is going to take him a while so i have plenty of time to get one with him. Im really excited to see Daniel in a couple weeks:D and i am really sad that im probably not going to get to see Ryan because I fly out Dec 2:( and that really stinks! I am proud to say that I have not had the orange juice while i have been here...they have orange soda, so im stickin with that:) oh and mom you would be happy to know that they also have powerade...but it tastes kind of funky to me.
And in English that means I know that the gospel is true. I know that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know that God lives. I know that Joseph Smith is a true Prophet of God. I know that God loves us. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and i know that Jesus Christ Atoned for our sins. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen:)
I will talk to you all next week. I hope to have emails from all of you telling me how your weeks have been:) Ingat po (goodbye)

Love/Your Friend,
Sister Halley Ramsey:)
